The NICU at York Hospital is the unlikely place where our team got its start… Kylie (a nurse at York Hospital) met Mandy in this unit where they shared some time as Mandy's family navigated the loss of their sweet Lily Grace. From that connection grew friendship, a partnership, and a project that the team is still so proud of! Our exhibit there of littles inspires and comforts families who are going through trying times in this unit. We know firsthand how important it is to savor the big and little moments and to capture milestones when you can!
Kylie is a neo-natal certified trauma nurse, and Laura is a NICU nurse, too. Not only do we make the safety of your newborns our top priority, we’re professionally qualified to handle them safely.
We're currently in the process of developing and installing a Strong Woman project at Women's Healthcare Group of York. The medical world, empowering women, and cherishing the magical life moments that happen universally intersect in this collection that we'll be sharing more about soon.
Downtown York, PA is loosely organized into three different unofficial districts; and we’ve worked in all of them: The WECO (West of the Codorus) Market district, the shopping district, and the Art district. Our downtown studio, The Loft York, is located directly between Central Market House and Penn Market.
We have a stand and display at Central Market and we meet a lot of local clientele at events there. The Loft is situated at the top of Foundry Park. The Loft building itself used to house the iron molds used for casting. When we renovated, we brightened the cool industrial vibe but kept it authentic. A WECO presence there, steps away from the Art district is a recipe for some fantastic opportunities. Possibilities are endless for indoor and outdoor settings – it’s one of the reasons we say “your session your way” with so much confidence!
In the greater York, PA area, our natural light studio is in southern York county. This location also has a permanently-installed outdoor campfire / wooded setting for beautiful natural backdrops in any season. Our newborn suite is located in nearby Dover, PA. And we do a good deal of work, too, at Lakeview Farms for different types of events. So many choices -- we really do have a session for every dream (and budget).
About York, Pennsylvania
York was laid out in the mid-1700's and became a borough in 1787. It became a city one hundred years later in 1887. The current population is estimated around half a million; and the town is a fun combination of old (really old and historic) and modern buildings. Manufacturing is important to the York economy, and the town is growing much more quickly than the national average.
