The first birthday Cakesmash is often a captured milestone and then suddenly you find yourself with a third grader that you only have some obligatory school pics of. It's such a wonderous time of childhood that your children don't often recall. What do they like to eat? What’s their favorite movie or T.V. show? What’s their treasured toy or lovely that has seemingly been dragged along everywhere?
Lets talk about the TWEENS—It’s the most rapid period of growth and marked changes you will see since the infant stage! And yet often parents are so busy carpooling to sports, hosting sleepovers, helping on those Art and Science projects (1 night prior to due date), etc.. all the busy stuff that comes with this tween-age! Aside from an occasional family portrait, do you have anything recorded that really freezes this time in their life?
They are starting to explore makeup and may even be pushing limits of fashion. Often they find a passion for a certain sport, talent or hobby.
In a world that is so fast paced and the internet and social media being so influential, this culture often leads to the innocence of these years to fly by and fizzle.
Insecurities also develop during the formative years, heightened social pressure coupled with body changes can lead kids to develop negative self image & doubt, social status and everything in between.
At Mudpies studios we offer TWEEN sessions that will not only capture all those things about them that change so quickly, but a shoot full of confidence boosting and fun (let's face it— we all enjoy being pampered). For the girls— Styled shoot with hair and makeup artists on set! Our Senior class spokesmodel teens enjoy dropping by the studio on shoot day for a great positive and encouraging experience! They are rolemodels academically and socially throughout our community...what a blessing to have the older girls on set! The boys will get to do all things they love- if that means wardrobe with high fashion - so be it, if it means getting dirty, or out on a playing field count is in for that too!! We want this to be about THEM, Lights, camera, action !!
These “tweenagers” will remember this experience for years to come. Our hope is to freeze this time forever with tasteful heirloom quality images to cherish AND have the experience be a huge positive impact as they embark on the teen years that can be - oh so trying and tough for some.
