We were contacted with a special request to capture a Christmas surprise for this family’s Pap. He absolutely loves vintage trucks and what better way to celebrate him than to do a surprise meetup in a field with an old red truck?! After having fun capturing this family’s love for each other, Pap even got a chance to hop in the truck and go for a drive. Thankful they chose us to photograph this meaningful time for their family.
We have been working with this seniors family for a few years and what a joy they always are to work with. When mom emailed about a senior session we couldn’t wait to start planning details. From coordinating outfits to making sure we had the best location and golden light, this session did not disappoint. We even got to include some awesome pictures with our vintage Jeep Wagoneer. At Mudpies N Butterflies Photography we are always up for helping to turn your visions and dreams into reality. This one year/cakesmash session was no exception. Dad wanted to incorporate anything 4x4 or vintage/classic car related so we hit up our guys at Mount Zion Offroad for some guidance. We started the session with some fun at their shop (the family pet even got to come along and play shop dog for the day!!) and headed back to the studio for some smash time. Excuse our lack of blogging, we are soaking in the summer with our clients and our families. We love everything about this family session, from the cutest kids ever sharing watermelons and a bond that is evident. Here's a sneak peek of their summer petite family session.
Wrinkly toes turn to big gummy laughs that turn to wobbly steps with chubby little cheeks that turn to grass stained knees that turn to shorter and shorter lived snuggles that turn to sweaty sports uniforms or gym Socks that turns into car keys hanging from their pockets.
When people say don't blink...it's for real. don't blink sounds cliche but I'm here as a "mom or many" or mominator as my teens tease... I'm a mama of adult children and all ages in between. One minute your smelling a freshly bathed toddler who wants a bedtime story and the next your pacing halls because it's close to curfew.
You will triumph in parenting and you will fail....but one things for sure whether we blink or not : they grow up. Nobody ever regrets freezing moments in time by capturing images.

A Sneak peek from our Outdoor Holiday Sessions, Campfire theme😍 We were so happy that we booked these early fall before the freezing temps. We waited to post as to not ruin any Christmas gift and card suprises but here is a small peek. What a fun time everyone had toasting marshmallows and cuddling around the campfire and of course our VW camper "Rosie" made an appearance to add variety to each session.

Yep, it happens fast! Each passing day quickly turns to months and years and before you know it, they are not little anymore. Watching families grow and capturing that, is our passion.
We have been capturing precious moments with this family for many years! We have taken so many fun portraits on the farm with the kids running around and having a blast! The farm animals have grown rather fond of us, and us of them, too! We cannot wait to continue to share many more sessions with this family as they grow! Summer is over but that doesn’t mean the memories have to end!
